Delish Mandel Bread is a heartfelt homage to the OG of Mandel Bread—my beloved Nana, lovingly known as “Ladybug.” I'm proud to honor her and my Jewish heritage while adding a modern twist to a timeless classic.
After years of baking them for family and friends—who always asked for more and kept telling me, “You have to sell these!”—I finally took the leap. What started as a labor of love became a delicious way to share and preserve tradition.
So what is Mandel Bread (a.k.a. Mandelbrot)?
Glad you asked! Mandel bread is like biscotti’s cool, soft-hearted Jewish cousin. Crunchy—but not tooth-breaking. Sweet—but not a sugar bomb, and way more DELISH. The word “Mandelbrot” comes from the Yiddish and German words mandel (almond) and brot (bread).
At Delish Mandel Bread, we stay true to the roots by using almonds in every flavor. Because let’s face it: Mandel (almond) Bread without almonds is like banana bread without bananas…just wrong!
They’re perfect for dunking in your coffee or tea, but just as irresistible on their own. And if you’re lucky enough to have a few crumbs left in the bag, sprinkle them over yogurt, ice cream, or fresh fruit for an extra treat. You’re welcome!
